Who was Jerome Henry?

Jerome Llewlyn Henry (Campbell) affectionately known as “Rick or Diver” was a great man who left us in 2011, when he passed away after a short battle with cancer.

He was born and raised in Jamaica, educated both in Jamaica and Canada and became a professional accountant after he obtained his Certified General Accountant’s designation in 1992.

Leadership and mentoring characteristics were displayed by Jerome at an early age. A leader on and off the playing field, he captained his cricket team, basketball team and, of course, his loved soccer team. Over time his strong leadership qualities revealed themselves in his professional and social worlds.

Jerome knew from early that he wanted to help young people obtain a higher education, and assist them to strive to be the best individuals they could be.

He believed in education. He knew from his experience, that no matter where you begin, if you get your credentials, you can achieve whatever you dream. He strived to provide encouragement and assistance to young people to help them achieve their dreams.

Jerome was known for telling people around him, both young and old “You are great!” He adamantly believed that we all have greatness inside us and he never hesitated to express this.

What Jerome started will now be continued by the Jerome Henry Foundation.
